Constituting iShed

Today we had a really positive meeting with James Touzel and Tim Pyper of TLT Solicitors who are setting up iShed CIC for us.

The first step in legally constituting the company is writing the community interest statement i.e. who your company is going to benefit and how. We had some discussion around regionality - most of the direct benefits of iShed will be to the creative economy of the South West, but it will almost certainly have a national/international context through the website etc. more…



BBC Innovation Labs come to Bristol

Following their success with pilots earlier this year, the BBC is extending its Innovation Labs programme for 2006/7 and will be visiting Bristol to launch the scheme on Friday 3 November.

Innovation Labs bring together BBC Commissioners and regional digital media companies to develop and commission innovative new products and services for the BBC. The launch event will allow interested companies to learn more about the new briefs, receive more information about the BBC's new media strategy and technological infrastructure, and have an opportunity to meet BBC commissioners and ask questions about the kind of projects the BBC is looking for this year. more…



Calling all digital pioneers…

The British Council has just launched a call for Digital Pioneers to take part in an international mentorship programme that aims at identifying and nurturing a new generation of creative entrepreneurs in the digital media industry. The programme will run in parallel in both Hong Kong and UK and six outstanding entrepreneurs aged 21-35 will win the chance to work with and learn from top players in the industry in both Hong Kong and the UK.
