MIKRO ORCHESTRA WORKSHOP Thursday 22 March, 10.00 - 17.00, Plymouth

Two workshops run by Mikro Orchestra provide an opportunity to explore the potential of GameBoy console as a music instrument. Participants will have a practical opportunity to create experimental sound (audio workshop) and images while using custom written vj-ing software SQJ (video workshop). Participants will be invited to join Mikro Orchestra team for their public performance on 23rd of March at the Plymouth Guildhall.

The workshops are taking place as part of SOCIAL HACKING: temporary public art commissions for the city of Plymouth, 21-24 MARCH 2007

Social Hacking is a series of temporary public art commissions for Plymouth
by international artists' groups against a backdrop of urban regeneration. The project reflects the ways in which these changes to the city can be further influenced by creative human intervention.
