New Interfaces for Performance workshops

Posted by Clare in: Events | Watershed | Technology | TrackbackNIP (New Interfaces for Performance) is a unique and practical, artists led, workshop and touring event, which examines techniques for creating new media and interactive work for live performance.
A European tour and workshop series, will be happening over 2007 in Bristol UK, Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Lisbon, Portugal. NIP is about supporting artists who are working on developing new modes of interaction in live performance. The first series will focus on gesture and movement as the means to engage, trigger and interact in realtime with live media, sound, music and performance based works.
The first NIP event will be happening in Bristol between 30th March and 1st April, 2007.
Bristol, UK with Lead artist Zach Lieberman, a Visual artist working with sound and image using gestural interfaces for performance and public interaction.
