Watershed/HP Labs up for award

40 applications were whittled down to just 3 successful nominations in each of the 5 categories. The Watershed/HP Labs partnership will compete in the 'Hulbert Press Arts & Business South West Sustainability Award' which recognises a successful business/arts partnership that has been sustained over time to the maximum benefit of both.
HP Labs and Watershed have been collaborating on research into emerging technologies in the sphere of digital media since 1999. The partnership has produced internationally significant projects, enabling both partners to form new networks, engage in knowledge transfer and produce high-quality technological and artistic content. The relationship between HP Labs and Watershed has allowed artists to gain access to cutting-edge research, HP Labs has the opportunity to explore potential uses for its technologies outside their original purpose, and Watershed gains new knowledge and capability around digital and mobile media.
Arts & Business South West brings together the creative and commercial worlds. The A&B Awards are designed to encourage, acknowledge and celebrate excellence in the field of business/arts partnerships and sponsorship in the South West region. The awards ceremony will take place on the 5th October.
