iShed's Pervasive Media Ideas lab took place last week attracting a crowd of 85 people drawn from industry, academia and the Creative Industries. The day was been designed with Ed Mitchell, to both generate and shape ideas for Media Sandbox and support the growing community around pervasive media in the South West.
The agenda included knowledge networking to match participants with complementary interests, a group mind map exercise and joint criteria setting for how Media Sandbox judges should select successful proposals. Photos from the event can be viewed at the Media Sandbox Flickr group.
The deadline for Media Sandbox applications is Friday 7 December and the selection team has been confirmed as Michael Nutley, Editor in Chief of New Media Age, Toby Barnes, Owner and managing Director of Pixel lab, Mark Leaver of South West Screen, Clare Reddington of iShed and Nigel Charman of Business Link, who will judge the Media Sandbox proposals.
