James Touzel (Chair)
James is a Partner and head of Technology & Media at TLT LLP, a law firm based in Bristol and London. He is Non-Executive Chair of iShed CIC.
James is particularly known for his work with technology and digital media businesses. He handles research & development collaborations, rights issues and content licensing arrangements for clients such as Orange and Licorice Film.
James is also a Director of the Watershed Arts Trust Limited.
Julie Taylor
Julie began her career in film and television production working in a
variety of roles producing and directing award-winning documentaries in
the UK and Europe. Julie joined the Arts and Humanities Research
Council in 2004 and in 2005 took up the post of Head of Knowledge
Transfer (KT) to oversee the development and implementation of the
Council's KT strategy and associated funding programmes.
Andy Parkhouse
Andy Parkhouse is Director of Team Rubber, a multi-award winning
creative boutique dedicated to solving problems through innovative
solutions. Team Rubber consists of three main businesses; Delib which
concentrates on e-Participation and e-Democracy, Rubberductions an
award-winning film company and Rubber Republic which produces virals
for brands, broadcasters and NGOs.
Tom Fleming
As director of Tom Fleming Creative Consultancy, Tom Fleming,is a
consultant and academic specialising in research and support for the
cultural and Creative Industries sector. Key areas of specialism
include Creative Industries investment, local and regional Creative
Industries strategies, cluster development, detailed mapping, cultural
planning, and establishing targeted support mechanisms for the Creative
Industries. Tom is an established public speaker, with experience on
the conference platform and has worked across the UK and in over 20
countries.
Bill Sharpe
Bill Sharpe is a specialist in the impact of smart systems and
pervasive digital technology on everyday life.. He is co-founder of The
Appliance Studio, which has created several new products and businesses
with clients and on its own behalf and has led long-term technology
forward look analyses for the UK Foresight programmes in Cognitive
Systems, Cybertrust & Crime Prevention, and Intelligent
Infrastructure Systems. He is on the executive committee of the
euCognition EU coordination action for Cognitive Systems and was
previously a research Director at Hewlett-Packard's corporate labs in
Bristol, UK, where he pioneered new concepts in pervasive computing.
Kenton O’Hara
Kenton O'Hara is a Senior Research Scientist at HP Labs in Bristol in
the Mobile and Media Systems Lab. His research explores the social and
behavioural factors that shape the design and use of emerging
technologies. Prior to joining HP labs, Kenton worked at several
technology research labs and innovation companies including the
Appliance Studio, Xerox EuroPARC, and BT Laboratories. He has a degree
in Psychology and a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction.
