Interchange

"Consumers will never be able to tell us the future of art as they do not know the possibilities. But we cannot invent a more viable future for our institutions … without a deep understanding of how consumers fit art into their lives" Alan Brown, The Shifting Sands of Demand

Over the last five years Watershed has developed as a cultural hub for the digital age and is increasingly seen as a leading example of digital content generation and distribution, knowledge exchange, participation and cross sector collaboration.

Looking to the future, Interchange brings together Watershed, Spike Island, Arnolfini, The Architecture Centre and Picture This, in a project managed by iShed designed to explore and develop capacity around digital technology.

The Interchange project is part of Arts Council England's OD Thrive funding scheme.
